video about using m In this video, I provide only a really general introduction to archaeobotany (or paleoethnobotany), with emphasis on types of plant remains, terminology for describing them, and making a basic reference collection for macroremains, including wood and charcoal. There's also a brief discussion of bias that you need to correct if you use line- or point-sampling to count things like pollen grains on microscope slides (PPS sampling, or probability proportional to size).
