The Excel database containing all the radiocarbon dates is structured along regions and subregions, as follows:
Region I – Anatolia Ia Marmara, Ib Pontic Anatolia, Ic Central Anatolia, Id Mediterranean Anatolia, Ie Southwest Anatolia map region 1 Region II – The Aegean IIa Eastern Aegean, IIb Southern Aegean, IIc Western Aegean, IId Northern Aegean map region 2 Region III – Central Balkans IIIa Central Balkans South, IIIb Central Balkans North map region 3 Region IV – Eastern Balkans IVa Thrace, IVb Ludogorie Plateau, IVc Lower Danube West, IVd Lower Danube East, IVe West Pontic map region 4 Region V – Southern Carpathian Basin Va Middle Danube-Sava-Drava, Vb Mureş-Tisza map region 5 Region VI – Northwest Pontic VIa Coastal steppe, VIb Forest steppe map region 6
Notice In the 14C database "Level" and "Phase" indications are copied from the original reports. Dates are presented, wherever possible, in stratigraphic order, with earliest levels first, based on the calibrated age at 1σ.
All dates are expressed in radiocarbon years before AD 1950 (years BP) using the half-life of 5568 years. All dates are calibrated at 1σ, and only the start and end points are given, rounded by 10. In the case of freshwater reservoir effect (FRE) corrections only the corrected dates BP are provided. All dates have been calibrated along the IntCal13 calibration curve (Reimer et al. 2013), using the OxCal v4.2.4 program (Bronk Ramsey 2009).
